Vehicle Loans

A vehicle loan is primarily designed to finance the purchase of commercial or personal vehicles ranging from three-wheel motorcycles (such as Bajaj) to public transportation, which has a carrying capacity of up to 40 people or 40 quintals. Clients expected to save money for 3 months.

Housing Loans

A House Loan is a loan granted for purchasing a house or construction or renovation of residential (real estate) and commercial buildings. Clients expected to save money for 3 months.

Agricultural Loans

The maximum loan size and term for an Agricultural Loan shall not exceed Birr 50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Birr) and 12 months respectively.

Agri-business Loans

The maximum loan size and term for an Agribusiness Loan shall not exceed Birr 75,000.00 (Seventy-five Thousand Birr) and 12 months respectively. If a client wants to make a time balloon payment, the loan term shall not exceed six (6) months. However, for installment payment, either a client shall make the repayment in three or four months equal installments.

Business Loans

The maximum loan size and term for a Business Loan shall not exceed Birr 90,000.00 (Ninety Thousand Birr) and 24 months respectively.

Employee Loans

The maximum loan size and term for an employee Loan shall not exceed Birr 200,000.00 (Two Hundred Thousand Birr) and 36 months respectively. The maximum loan term shall not exceed 24 months and 15 months for loans less than Birr 100,000 (One hundred Thousand Birr) and Birr 30,000 (Thirty Thousand Birr) respectively.

Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Loans

SME loans range from a minimum of 100,000 to 10,000,000 Birr, with terms ranging from 6 to 48 months, based on the enterprise’s cash generation capacity and individual loan appraisal tool analysis.

Women Entrepreneur Development Program (WEDP)

WEDP Loans range from 50,000 to 5,000,000 Birr, with terms ranging from 6 to 48 months, based on cash generation capacity and individual loan appraisal tool analysis.

School Loans

For school loans, the lowest possible loan amount is Birr 50,000.00 (fifty thousand birr), and the highest possible loan amount is Birr 3,000,000.00 (three million birr). A school loan might have a maximum length of 36 months.

Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Loans

The Water Supply Loan has a maximum loan size of 50,000 Birr and a term of 24 months. Repayment methods for rural clients include monthly, quarterly, or balloon payments. Urban clients can only make monthly installments. The loan can be accessed directly without passing successive cycles.
